As the door to the captain's quarter's slid open, the heavy footsteps that served as harbingers to Crow's presence were heard immediately as the droid entered the room. The droid himself stopped just behind the man's desk, equidistant to both Vyra and Lecter, his attention purely focused on his so-called "master". Never had there been a more critical moment to pander to Lecter's wishes; if he made a good enough impression, the man would most likely loosen his grip just enough to allow him to resume normal duty, take his eyes off of him just long enough to get his rebellion in motion. Crow wasn't too terribly concerned about Vyra. She already knew that he wasn't as loyal to the man as he should be, and would hopefully see right through the facade. And under that presumed knowledge, she would get a firsthand look at Lecter's tyrannical cruelty. He turned to lock eyes with Lecter, his stoic voice seeming to take on a hint of a sardonic tone.

"You called me, Sir?"

Lecter smirked. That damn droid thought he was so clever...well, he'd see that his mechanical guile was no match for a REAL brain soon enough.

"I shall retrieve him, Sir. Or do you wish to go to him? I viewed the security system before coming here, and he is currently in the ship's galley with Leo, both of them in an intoxicated state judging by their movement and micro-muscular spasms."

"Oh, no, that's all right. We'll all head down there together. I'm sure Lady Salicaire wants to see him rebuked herself, he was very rude to her."

He turned to face Vyra again, and gestured in such a way as to gently usher out the door. "Shall we follow the droid, Milady?"

"...Yes," she said with only the slightest hesitation.

Vyra flicked her gaze from Lecter to Crow, face passive. Her eyes were a different matter; alert, calculating, and slightly resigned. One hand still wrapped protectively around her wristband, she moved towards the door, chin up, one eyebrow cocked at the massive droid in questioning. Questioning not only at his actions, but at his appearance.

Of course, there was no time to voice those questions now. They had drunk people to reprimand.

"Yes, we shall," she finished quietly. With a nod at Crow and a hint of a smile, she said, "Lead the way, please."
"There is always hope."

Not even acknowledging Vyra's request, Crow immediately wheeled around on his heels and marched out of the captain's quarters, briskly moving across the bridge. It was vital that he kept his swift pace and his eyes forward; any less would indicate to Lecter that he wasn't entirely under his spell, and would result in less room to maneuver in the coming days. There was no doubt that his seemingly sudden alteration in behavior with the man was already suspect. A single trip to any planet, regardless of terrain, environment, or traumatizing catastrophes would not bring about unwavering loyalty to anybody, much less the instigator of the carnage. But with the advantage of a transfer in chassis, Crow could plausibly deny the facade.

The Pygmalion was already a fairly small ship; even with the extensive additions to the hull and the efficient, spartan placement of furnishings and supplies, the craft was barely more than sixty meters long, and only one level higher than stock Doomtreader-class freighters. Crow's pace made the already-short walk to the ship's galley no more than a minute, even when he slowed down to accommodate his companions. The assassin stopped just short of opening the door, the heat of the aft engines causing his synthetic skin to exhibit its new abilities, causing small beads of artificial sweat to trickle down to the metal floor. The Mon Calamari technicians had not paid the same attention to the hyperdrive as they had to the other plagues of the Pygmalion; the ship had to exit hyperspace. Soon. Hearing footsteps behind him descend the durasteel stairwell, Crow poised himself.

"Awaiting your command, Sir."

For Bendix, the world had dissolved into a boozy haze about twenty minutes ago. He couldn't remember how many drinks he had after the fourth or fifth one. Where the hell was that damn droid? Was he going to show up and show Bendix how to kill the Captain before he drunk himself to death?

Leo was saying something stupid again; suddenly, Bendix just couldn't sit there and listen anymore. The weapons were heavy on his belt; he should just go and murder that pile of bantha poo himself. He swung on the barstool...and lo and behold, the tinnie was right behind him!

"Heeeeeeeey," Bendix slurred. "Where da hell were ya, I thou' ya forgot the plan! We go now, righ'?"

"Yes, we go right now."

Hearing Lecter and Vyra cross the threshold behind him, Crow gave them only the slightest glance, focusing all his attention on Bendix. This was a critical part of Lecter's exposition; in order for him to really prove his worth as a teacher, it was imperative that his "students" learned more from him than basic theory. Crow decided that, to give Lecter the illusion that his little ploy was working, that he would act as Lecter would. Betraying Bendix to his face was good. But allowing him a chance at revenge, and then cruelly yanking it away from him? If Crow hadn't already picked up that tactic from his creator, he might have been inclined to thank Siralis for his contribution to his tactical computer. The droid stepped aside, his voice and tone leaving his intended listener ambiguous.

"Here he is, as promised."

"Thank you, KR-03," Lecter said smoothly. Letting go of Lady Salicaire's hand, he stepped toward Bendix. With him now visible, the buzz in the galley died. Every eye in the room was now watching their Captain.

Bendix leered. "You thankin' the tinnie, Cap'n? You sure it ain't ME who should be thanking him?" He swayed, but the prospect of having his murder now kept the hand on the blaster steady.

Lecter shook his head. "I'm not here because he wants you to kill me. He brought me here to put you in a cell."

"Wha...what did y'say?!" Bendix turned to Crow in confusion. "You set me up?"

"Bendix Battez, pay attention." Once Lecter had as much of Bendix's attention as he could give, he continued. "You are guilty of mutiny against the Captain of this ship. In addition, you have disobeyed my express for Lady Salicaire's protection and orders and abandoned her on the planet surface. Your disloyalty merits imprisonment."

"DISLOYALTY?!?" Bendix felt no more pleasure at the thought of killing Lecter Siralis. The booze in his system, and Crow's betrayal, and that man coming here and calling him disloyal, had shut down every emotion but a blind rage. "I'M DISLOYAL?!? YOU SCHUTTA, I'LL KILL YOU!"
He drew the blaster, and lunged at Lecter, roaring.

Crow didn't hesitate.

As Bendix flew at Lecter and Vyra, Crow's fist balled up, and his arm launched upward. From the droid's standpoint, it wasn't very strong; he had only allowed himself to use 30 % of his power, lest Bendix be left with a gaping hole in his chest. Nevertheless, Crow's shot was as accurate and fast as ever, landing a solid shot on the drunkard's midsection.
